Setting up a video#
Preface#
There are plenty of tutorials on how to set up a blog website that you can find through search engines. So why am I adding to the noise with another tutorial? No particular reason, I just want to take advantage of the promotional rewards from Rainyun. I can only blame Rainyun for offering more rewards than others. At the same time, I hope more bloggers will join our niche community and enrich this corner of the internet.
Preparation#
Money!!! That's right, you need to prepare some money (around 5-90 yuan) and time. You also need a computer with internet access. I've divided the setup process into three steps.
Where should the money be spent?
Purchase a unique domain name. A domain name is the web address you see in your browser, like https://xxzz.net.
Purchase a virtual host or server (choose one).
Step One#
Choose a virtual host. The virtual host is where your blog data will be stored, so it's very important.
I'll use Rainyun as an example here.

Click on the link to register an account.
Choose a virtual host.
Select the EasyPanel interface.
Choose the Hong Kong region.
Choose the Hong Kong EP2 Entry-level configuration.
Purchase.
Step Two#
Choose a domain name. As mentioned earlier, a domain name is a web address that you can define yourself.
There are many domain name registrars, but I recommend using Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, or West.cn. Personally, I recommend using Alibaba Cloud to register a domain name.

After purchasing the domain name, go to the management interface and bind the resolution address cn-hk2.rvh2.raincs.cn.
Step Three#
- Click on the link above to download the blog program.
- Upload the downloaded compressed file to the virtual host and extract it.
Visit the domain name you just registered, and you will enter the installation interface. Fill in some information about the virtual host you just purchased, and the setup will be complete.
